Wilhelm Schniewind
Wilhelm "Willy" Heinrich Karl Schniewind (born March 28, 1890 in Elberfeld , † July 22, 1978 in Velbert - Neviges ) was a German entrepreneur and sports official .
Career
Schniewind was born the son of the textile manufacturer Friedrich Wilhelm Schniewind (1861–1932). He was the owner of HE Schniewind silk weaving mills in Haan and a member of various supervisory boards.
In addition to his business activities, he was President of the German Golf Association and the European Golf Association.
His first marriage was to Ilse Boeddinghaus and his second marriage to Fänn Henkell (* 1898), a daughter of Otto Henkell .
