Wilhelm von Löw zu Steinfurth

Wilhelm Carl Gottlieb Curd von Löw zu Steinfurth (born July 9, 1805 in Hanau ; † May 13, 1873 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian landowner and politician and a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Wilhelm von Löw zu Steinfurth was the son of the landowner Gorg von Löw zu Steinfurth and his wife Luise, née Freiin Diede zum Fürstenstein . The pianist Louise Diede zum Fürstenstein was his grandmother. Löw zu Steinfurth, who was a Protestant, was a landowner. From 1842 to 1873 he was chamberlain in Darmstadt.

From 1862 to 1872 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was chosen for the manorial nobility. In the Chamber he represented liberal-conservative positions.

He married on December 24, 1833 Fanny nee von Kopp (born November 26, 1810). The couple had several children:

  • Agnes (born February 16, 1835) ⚭ 1853 Arnold von Biegeleben (born November 1, 1822 - † December 3, 1892)
  • Emma (born August 16, 1837) ⚭ 1883 Friedrich von Stockhausen, former Prussian Colonel D.
  • Adelheid (born October 14, 1842)
