Wilhelm von and zu Hoensbroech
Wilhelm Rudolf Franz Anton Graf von und zu Hoensbroech (born April 17, 1849 at Haag Castle ; † February 15, 1922 there ) was Hereditary Marshal in the Duchy of Geldern and a member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Wilhelm von und zu Hoensbroech comes from the Lower Rhine noble family Hoensbroech , attended the Stella Matutina boarding school (Jesuit college) in Feldkirch and completed the royal high school in Paderborn and the universities in Leuven and Bonn . He went on major trips in Europe and Africa. He was particularly colonial-friendly and contributed 90,000 marks to the German-East African Society . His involvement in the colonial movement earned him the nickname Wilhelmus Africanus .
From 1883 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Dusseldorf Region 7 Moers , Rees and the German Center Party . He was also a member of the Rhenish Provincial Parliament of the Rhine Province from 1879 to 1890 , of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1892 to 1898 and of the Prussian Manor House from 1900 to 1918 .
