Willah is a residential area in the community of Heinbockel in the Lower Saxony district of Stade . Administratively it belongs to the district of Hagenah . Willahermoor also belongs to Willah .

Geography and transport links

Willah is located on the federal highway 74 between Elm in the southwest and Hagenah in the northeast, on the edge of the Hohe Moors , which is north of Willah, and near the border with the Rotenburg district (Wümme) . The Elmer lake is about 1 km away.

Willah was first mentioned in 1500 in the Vörder Register as Wildela .

Administrative history

Willah and Willahermoor were never independent parishes and have always been part of Hagenah.

Before 1885 they formed a community association with Hagenah and belonged to the Börde Oldendorf in the office of Himmelpforten . In 1885 the municipality of Hagenah became part of the Stade district , which in 1932 merged with the Jork district to form the current Stade district .

As districts of Hagenah, Willah and Willahermoor became part of the municipality of Heinbockel on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform .

Willah and Willahermoor are evangelical-Lutheran and belong to the parish of the Martinskirche in Oldendorf .
