Willi Heitkamp (born March 13, 1903 in Röhlinghausen , today the city of Herne , † November 16, 1988 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending primary school , he worked as a miner until 1930 . From 1927 to 1930 he was a member of the works council for the Christian miners' union. He attended the technical college for economics and administration in Bochum for two years. Until 1933 he was the workers 'secretary of the Catholic workers' movement in Dortmund. From 1933 to 1964 he was the diocesan secretary of the Catholic Workers' Movement in the Archdiocese of Paderborn . He participated in the establishment of the Weltnotwerk and was its chairman in Wanne-Eickel from 1956 to 1962.

Political party

From 1922 to 1933 Heitkamp was a member of the center and the Windthorst Association . In 1927 he became chairman of the workers' council of the Center Party in Wanne-Eickel. After the Second World War he became a member of the CDU.

From 1928 to 1930 and from 1946 to 1961 Heitkamp was a member of the city ​​council of Wanne-Eickel . In 1947/48 he was a member of the Zone Advisory Board for the British Zone of Occupation .
