With Leu Braunschweig he won the championship twice in the amateur league Lower Saxony East in 1961 and 1962 and failed in 1962 in the decider against VfB Lübeck on promotion to the Oberliga Nord. His outstanding achievements were recognized by his commitment on April 7, 1962 in Hanover in the international match of the German national soccer team of amateurs against Italy. In the 2-1 success of the DFB team, he stormed the left wing. His attacking colleagues were Lothar Ulsaß , Heinz-Herbert Kreh , Albert Kühn and Heinz Höher . From the second promoted to the Oberliga Nord, Arminia Hanover, he received a contract offer for the 1962/63 round, whereupon he moved to the "Blauen" in the state capital.

Arminia Hannover, 1962 to 1968

On the first match day of the last league round 1962/63, on August 19, 1962, the winger made his debut in the 2-1 defeat at St. Pauli in the team of Arminia Hannover. The first hits hit him on November 3, 1962 in the 4-0 away win at Altona 93 when he was able to contribute three hits to victory. The promoted team lost the game in the first half of the season against Hannover 96 and won the game in the second half with 4-2 goals. Langemann mostly formed the left wing of Arminia with Gerhard Elfert , who ended up in tenth place at the end of the round, one rank behind the "Reds". Langemann had scored seven goals in 26 missions. Lothar Ulsaß stood out with 23 goals in the Arminia team.

From the 1963/64 season, Arminia belonged to the Regionalliga Nord . Behind master St. Pauli and runner-up Hanover 96, the Arminen came in third. The attack of the "blues" with Langemann, Ulsaß, Dieter Perau , Elfert and Helmut Kafka was one of the best that was active in this round in the north. In the second and third years in the Regionalliga Nord, Langemann experienced the work of coach Horst Witzler . The team from Bischofsholer Damm landed in fourth and sixth place and signed the coach senior Hans Hipp for the 1966/67 round . Arminia won the championship in 1967, ahead of Göttingen 05 and Holstein Kiel. In the Bundesliga promotion round they finished third behind the promoted Borussia Neunkirchen and SW Essen, ahead of Bayern Hof and Hertha BSC. Willi Langemann had played all eight games and scored two goals. The top performers of the successful Arminia team included goalkeepers Helmut Fischer and Werner Lyzio , defender Heinz Stauvermann , stopper Klaus Forbrig and attacker Heinz-Dieter Hansing . When the Armines defended their title in 1968, Willi Langemann was no longer part of the regular cast. He was reamateurised in the summer of 1968 and ended his career as a contract footballer. Willi Langemann played a total of 97 games in the Regionalliga Nord and scored 27 goals.
