Leugers belonged to Borussia Fulda as a striker , for whom he played the 1931/32 and 1932/33 point games in the championships organized by the West German Game Association until 1933 .

After he and his team had prevailed as one of two groups in the regional league Hessen-Hanover in the group south , next to group north, he played the district final against 1. SC Göttingen 05 , the won 3-0 and 4-1. With this success, his team was entitled to participate in the final round of the West German Championship .
