Willi Ludwig (born March 2, 1955 ) is a German pool player . In 1986 he was German champion in men's singles and twice senior European champion .

Career

At the German Championship in 1986 , Willi Ludwig won the men's 8-ball cup competition by beating Peter Lamping in the final . In the senior Ludwig was 1996 German Champion 14/01 endlessly and in 8-Ball and Senior European Champion in 14/1 endless. In 1997 he became German champion in 8-ball and second in 14/1 endless and 9-ball . At the Senior European Championship of the same year he was second in 9-ball and third in 14/1 endless. At the German championship in 1998 Ludwig won bronze in the 8-ball. In 1999 he was third in the 8-ball cup and second in the 9-ball and was 8-ball European champion at the Senior European Championship and third in the 14/1 endlessly. At the German Championships in 2001 and 2002 , Ludwig won four bronze medals. In 2002 he also won his last European Championship medal with third place in the 9-ball. At the DM 2003 Ludwig was second in the 14/1 endlessly and in the final against Thomas Damm German 8-ball champion. In 2004 he was third in two disciplines, in 2006 he was German vice-champion in the 9-ball and 8-ball cup in the final against Günter Geisen and Holger Gries .

With the PBC Karlsruhe he reached the final of the German 8-Ball Team Cup in 1988, was German 8-Ball Champion in 1989 and German Champion in the Combined Team Bundesliga in 1991 and 1993 .
