Willi Mertzlufft (born May 4, 1928 - February 13, 1992 ) was a German soccer player .
Career
Mertzlufft was a member of the FC Bayern Munich squad from 1946 to 1951 . At the age of 18, he made his debut on December 1, 1946 (10th matchday) in the Oberliga Süd - the top German division at the time - in the 1: 3 defeat against VfB Stuttgart in the stadium on Grünwalder Strasse . In the other five point games he scored his first of two goals on January 26, 1947 (18th matchday) in a 7-2 win in the home game against Kickers Offenbach with the goal to 6-1 in the 78th minute. In the following season he played three point games, remained in the 1948/49 season without league use before he played his last two point games in the 1949/50 season . In his last season he was again without use in the Oberliga Süd, but played a friendly game.
In the 1951/52 season he was active in the Oberliga West for Fortuna Düsseldorf , for which he played five league games and was once able to excel as a goalscorer.
In the seasons 1952/53 and 1953/54 - returned again to the Oberliga Süd - he was active for Viktoria Aschaffenburg , played 18 games and scored six goals. With only eight wins from 30 league games, the team was relegated to the 2nd Oberliga Süd 1954/55 and immediately returned to runner-up in the table.
