William Anthony Johnson

William Anthony Johnson (born August 20, 1832 in Somers Town , United Kingdom , † March 27, 1909 in London ) was a British clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Westminster .

Life

William Anthony Johnson received on 19 December 1857 in the chapel of the Pontifical English College in Rome , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 20, 1906 appointed him Pope Pius X to the titular bishop of Arindela and auxiliary bishop in Westminster. The Archbishop of Westminster, Francis Bourne , donated to him on 1 May of the same year in the Westminster Cathedral , the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Portsmouth , John Baptist Cahill , and the Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster, Patrick Fenton .

His grave is in the chapel of St. Edmund's College in Ware , Hertfordshire .
