William Barton (writer)

William Barton Renald III (* 28. September 1950 in Boston ) is an American science fiction - writers .

Life

William Barton studied Liberal Arts at the Community College of Northern Virginia. He has been working as an author since 1973, and most of his work can be assigned to the space opera genre . Three of his novels ( The Transmigration of Souls , Acts of Conscience and When We Were Real ) were nominated for the Philip K. Dick Award ; of which Acts of Conscience received a "Special Mention" in 1998.

Barton has also written short stories that have been published in Asimov's Science Fiction and Sci Fiction magazines and have been nominated for the Hugo Award , Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award , the Sidewise Award and the HOMer Award.
