William Bramley

William Bramley (born April 18, 1928 in Runnemede , New Jersey , † October 27, 1985 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .

Life

William Bramley graduated from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania in 1953 , at the same time he was already active in the university's theater company. He decided to become an actor and made his Broadway debut with The Lovers in 1956 . From 1957 to 1959 he was seen in the original cast of the Broadway musical West Side Story as Officer Krupke . He also played this role in the 1961 film . Also in later appearances in film and television, Bramley was more frequently cast as a police officer. Until his death he worked in numerous supporting roles in over 100 film and television productions.

The actor died in 1985 after a brief illness at the age of 57. William Bramley left behind his mother and sister.
