William Richard Griffin (born September 1, 1883 in Chicago , USA - † March 18, 1944 ) was auxiliary bishop in La Crosse .

Life

William Richard Griffin received on 25 May 1907, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 9, 1935, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to titular bishop of Lydda and auxiliary bishop in La Crosse. The Archbishop of Chicago , George Cardinal Mundelein , donated him episcopal ordination on May 1 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Saint Louis , Christian Hermann Winkelmann , and the auxiliary bishop in Chicago, William David O'Brien .
