Christian Hermann Winkelmann
Christian Hermann Winkelmann (born September 12, 1883 in St. Louis , Missouri , USA ; † November 18, 1946 in Wichita , Kansas , USA ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Wichita .
Life
Christian Hermann Winkelmann received on 11 June 1907, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On September 13, 1933, Pope Pius XI appointed him . the titular bishop of Sita and auxiliary bishop in Saint Louis . The Archbishop of Saint Louis, John Joseph Glennon , donated him episcopal ordination on November 30 of that year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Kansas City-Saint Joseph , Thomas Francis Lillis , and the Bishop of Leavenworth , Francis Johannes .
On December 27, 1939, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Wichita.
