William d'Aubigny, 2nd Earl of Arundel

William d'Aubigny, 2nd Earl of Arundel (* before 1150; † December 24, 1193 , buried in Wymondham Abbey , Norfolk) was the son of William d'Aubigny, 1st Earl of Arundel and Adelheid von Löwen , widow of King Henry I of England .

In 1176/77 he was confirmed as Earl of Sussex , while King Henry II first moved in the Earldom of Arundel as finished. It was not until King Richard the Lionheart made him Earl of Arundel on June 27, 1190 (he was already referred to as Earl of Arundel in September 1189). In 1191 he was appointed custodian of Windsor Castle .

He married Matilda de Saint-Hilaire de Harcouet, heir to James and Aveline, widow of Roger de Clare, 2nd Earl of Hertford . Your children were:
