William de Jesús Ruiz Velásquez (born October 2, 1942 in Entrerríos ) is retired Apostolic Prefect of Leticia and pastor of the parish of Mercedes de Yarumal .
Life
William de Jesús Ruiz Velásquez was ordained deacon on August 7, 1966 . The bishop of Santa Rosa de Osos , Miguel Ángel Builes Gómez , ordained him a priest on September 11, 1966 and he was incardinated in the clergy of the diocese of Santa Rosa de Osos . Pope John Paul II appointed him on July 8, 1997 Apostolic Prefect of Leticia . He resigned from his office on October 23, 2000.
