Career

society

Depending on the sources, 1.81 meters or 1.83 meters tall defensive player Martínez was at the beginning of his career from the Clausura 2001 to the Apertura 2003 in the squad of the Uruguayan first division club Defensor Sporting . In the Apertura 2003 five missions (one goal) in the Primera División are led for him. He then moved to Argentina to Ferro Carril Oeste and played there in the Apertura 2003 and Clausura 2004. The Apertura 2004, Clausura 2004 and Apertura 2005 he spent again in the ranks of the Montevidean club Defensor. According to another source, he is said to have completed 44 league games (four goals) there in the seasons 2004, 2005 and 2005/06. Then moved Martinez, who was now team captain Defensors, in January 2006 for six months on loan with an option to buy to England to West Bromwich Albion . In the remainder of the 2005/06 season he played two league games in the English Premier League and scored one goal. In the Clausura 2006, however, he was again active for Defensor. With the Montevideans he stayed this time until the Apertura 2007, in which he played 13 times in the top Uruguayan league and scored one goal. He finished the semi-series as the winner with the team that also won the Uruguayan championship at the end of the season. Two career stations in France followed . In 2007/08 he made seven first division games (no goal) for Valenciennes FC , which he joined in 2008. He was also used twice (no goal) in the local secondary representation in the CFA. In the 2008/09 season he ran 17 times (no goal) in Ligue 2 for Stade Reims , where he was loaned by Valenciennes FC. From Reims he initially returned to Valenciennes FC, but was no longer used with the French in Ligue 1 in 2009/10, but dissolved his contract with the French in August 2009 after the overall disappointing station in France. He then moved back to Uruguay, where he tied himself again to Defensor. In the 2009/10 season, 23 premier league appearances (no goals) were made for him. In 2010/11 there were 26 games (no goal) Martínez 'in the Primera B Nacional at the Argentine club Chacarita Juniors . He had committed himself to the Argentines as part of a one-year loan deal that included a purchase option on April 30, 2011 of $ 350,000 for 50% or $ 500,000 for 100% of the transfer rights to the player. If the purchase option had been drawn, the contract between the player and the club would have been valid until June 30, 2013. As a result, he completed 13 games (no goal) in the Chilean Primera División at CD Huachipato in 2011 and was set up twice (no goal) in the Copa Chile . In 2012 he joined Huachipato's league rivals CD Palestino . At the club from Santiago he played 26 times in the league and twice in the Copa Chile. He did not score a competitive goal. From 2013 to 2014 he was active at Cerro Porteño . He moved to Paraguay in January 2013 for a year on loan. Since 2014 he has played for the Uruguayan first division club River Plate Montevideo . For the Montevideans he played in 15 games (one goal) in the top Uruguayan league in the 2013/14 season. In the Apertura 2014 he was used ten times (no goal) in the Primera División and four times (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 . In January 2015 he joined the Club Atlético Cerro . There he played 15 top division games in 2015 in the Clausura and scored a goal. In the Apertura 2015, 15 more league appearances (one goal) were added. In January 2016 he moved to Deportivo Táchira . For the club from Venezuela, he played 15 top division games (no goal) and seven games (no goal) in the 2016 Copa Libertadores . In mid-August 2016, he joined the Uruguayan first division promoted Rampla Juniors , for whom he played in 13 first division games (no goal) in the 2016 season. River Plate Montevideo signed him again in mid-January 2017. In the current 2017 season he has been used in a first division game (no goal) so far (as of February 11, 2017).
