Willibald Gailler (born July 11, 1954 in Sondersfeld , today's large municipality of Freystadt ) is a German local politician , trained administrative assistant and teacher . Since May 1, 2014 he is district administrator of the district of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate . He is a member of the CSU .

Private

Willibald Gailler has been married to his wife Stilla since 1980. They have two children together, Stefanie and Christian. Gailler is involved on a voluntary basis and has been district chairman for horticulture and rural maintenance in Neumarkt since 2001.

education and profession

Between 1968 and 1972 Willibald Gailler trained as an administrative clerk and was employed by the city of Freystadt. Gailler completed the secondary school leaving certificate and attended both vocational school and vocational high school. The basic military service follows. In 1976 he began studying at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg , which he graduated in 1980 as a business teacher. The traineeship, the second state examination and the appointment to the teaching council in Ingolstadt followed by 1987 . From 1987 to 2014 Gailler was the full-time first mayor of the city of Freystadt. On May 1, 2014, Gailler took over the office of district administrator in the Neumarkt district in Upper Palatinate.

Willbald Gailler is involved in local politics as a member of the CSU . In 1975 he founded the Junge Union Freystadt and was its local chairman before he headed the CSU Freystadt. In 1984 he moved into the city council in Freystadt as a candidate for the CSU. On May 1, 1987 he was elected first mayor there. Gailler has been a district councilor in the Neumarkt district since 1990, and from 1996 he also represented it as deputy district administrator. When District Administrator Albert Löhner was no longer allowed to run for local elections in 2014 for reasons of age, Gailler was put up as the CSU candidate. Gailler won this election with 59% of the vote and a turnout of 62%.
