Willibald Harrer

Willibald Harrer (born February 14, 1951 in Liebenstadt , Heideck ) is a German Catholic clergyman.

Life

In 1977 the Bishop of Eichstätt Alois Brems ordained him as a priest. Then he was chaplain in Berching and Nuremberg . This was followed by an appointment as pastor in Saxony - Lichtenau and Ingolstadt - Etting .

In 1997 he became Regens of the Collegium Willibaldinum . From 2001 he was cathedral capitular and Caritas director in the episcopal ordinariate . At the end of 2010 he became dean of the cathedral .

After the bishop released him for a year, he became financial director of the Eichstätt diocese in September 2010 .

At the end of 2016, he resigned from his position as finance and construction director without giving a reason. In February 2018 it became known that he had countersigned loan agreements that caused the diocese to damage up to 50 million euros.
