It is located on the north side at a bend in Braunschweiger Strasse in Magdeburg's Sudenburg district . The building is a single monument in the Braunschweiger Straße 1–10, 98–108 monument area . To the west is the also listed building at Braunschweiger Straße 9 .
Architecture and history
The two-storey detached villa was built in 1880 for the ship owner Ferdinand Dünger according to plans by the architect and carpenter Carl Dabelow . On the right-hand side there is a side risalit with a box oriel in front of the ground floor . On the bay window there is a balcony in front of the upper floor. In 1900 an axis was added to the building on the right. The building was designed in the style of eclecticism . Elements of neo-baroque and late classicism can be found in the facade structure . In addition, there are echoes of the Swiss style with a floating gable with filling filigree .
The villa is listed in the Magdeburg monument register under registration number 094 81932 as a monument .
The villa is considered to be culturally and artistically important and an important document of a Wilhelminian factory owner's villa in Magdeburg.
