Willy Grothe

Willy Grothe (born January 30, 1886 in Hamburg , † March 27, 1959 in Ratzeburg ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and SA leader .

Live and act

After attending secondary school in Hamburg-Uhlenhorst , Grothe completed a three-year commercial apprenticeship in the Hamburg import and export company from 1901 to 1904. He then worked as a commercial clerk in Hamburg export companies. From 1906 to 1927 Grothe was in his profession in West Africa , z. B. Nigeria and active on the Gold Coast, first as an employee, then as the manager of the branches of the Hamburg export houses Deutsche Kamerun-Gesellschaft and Findlay & Co. First World War was in the years 1914 to 1918. After the war, Grothe was also temporarily with the authority for public youth welfare in Hamburg.

In 1927 Grothe returned to Germany, where he worked as an authorized signatory and buyer for the Hamburg company Findlay & Co.

On August 1, 1930, Grothe joined the NSDAP. He took part in the founding of the NSDAP's foreign organization , in which he had been involved since 1931. Due to his work in this organization, he was appointed Gauamtsleiter, while he achieved the rank of Standartenführer in the SA. On May 10, 1941 he became SA Oberführer.

From March 1936 until the end of the Nazi regime in the spring of 1945, Grothe also sat as a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 30 (Chemnitz-Zwickau) .
