Willy Lersch

Willy Lersch (born January 7, 1914 in Eschweiler ; † May 1, 2006 in Bad Tölz ) was a German industrial manager. He was a member of the board of directors and supervisory board of Buchtal GmbH in Schwarzenfeld , chairman of the supervisory board of Krones AG , president of the Regensburg Chamber of Commerce for Upper Palatinate / Kelheim and chairman of the former professional association for building ceramics.

Life

Lersch was born as the son of Karl and Sidonie Lersch, nee Gösset.

In 1939 he joined the construction team of Gottfried Cremer (1906–2005; see article Keramion ), who in 1937 founded Buchtal AG, ceramic companies of the Reichswerke “Hermann Göring” . In 1944 he married Ilse Limberger.

After returning from Soviet captivity in 1949, he returned to the company as an assistant director and authorized signatory . In 1955 he was appointed to the commercial director at the side of Helmut Lehmann (1918-2010) in his function as technical director. Together they led Buchtal to a leading company in the building ceramics industry and to one of the most important export companies in all of Eastern Bavaria. In 1986, after 31 years, he moved to the supervisory board, from which he left in the mid-1990s. Lersch was also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Krones AG from 1985 to 1995 and was a member of other supervisory boards and advisory boards.

From 1970 to 1976 he was chairman of the professional association building ceramics, from 1974 to 1986 president of the Regensburg Chamber of Commerce. He was deputy chairman of the Employers' Association of Lower Bavaria / Upper Palatinate, member of the board of the German Waterways and Shipping Association Rhine-Main-Danube (DWSV) based in Nuremberg and member of the board of trustees of the Association of Friends of the University of Regensburg .

His grave is in the Schwarzenfeld cemetery.
