Willy Schmidt (politician, 1891)

Willy Schmidt (born December 9, 1891 in Nordstemmen ; † June 21, 1950 there ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Life

Schmidt worked as a butcher in Nordstemmen after completing an apprenticeship as a butcher and passing a master's examination. He was head master of the butchers' guild of the Gronau district , president of the Hildesheim Chamber of Crafts and Vice President of the Northwest German Association of Craftsmen. First he became a member of the board and in July 1933 finally chairman of the German Butchers' Association .

During the time of the Weimar Republic , Schmidt joined the NSDAP (membership number 722.372), for which he acted as a Gaufach speaker from 1931 and as a Reich speaker from 1932. He had been a member of the Hanover provincial parliament since 1929 and was a member of the Prussian state parliament from 1932 until the corporation was dissolved in autumn 1933 . In parliament he represented constituency 16 (Südhannover-Braunschweig). He was also a member of the Schutzstaffel (membership number 276.695).
