Willy Wehner (born 1922 ) is a German excavator operator and innovator .

Life

Willy Wehner worked as an excavator operator at the " VEB Braunkohle Werke Thräna " near Borna . Wehner took up the new form of socialist competition developed by Erich Seifert . In 1958, Wehner played a decisive role in the introduction of the “Mamai method” in the GDR (later named after him “Wehner method” or “Christoph Wehner method”), which was used to break down the production plans for each working day and workplace Prerequisite so that the work colleagues could compare their plan fulfillment more specifically. His role model was the Soviet innovator Nikolai Jakowlewitsch Mamai . All workers should be persuaded to fulfill their plan on a daily basis on the basis of the plan broken down for each individual workplace or to exceed it by a certain amount. At the 5th Congress of the FDGB in 1959, Wehner reported on his proposals. He was a member of the Borna district council for the SED and chairman of the company union management .
