Wilma Klevinghaus

Wilma Klevinghaus (born March 31, 1924 in St. Alban , Rhineland-Palatinate ) is a German author of stories, poems, songs and amateur plays, often with religious content.

biography

Klevinghaus was born as the first child of the farmer Wilhelm Biehn and his wife Elisabeth in St. Alban, a village near Rockenhausen in Rhineland-Palatinate . She has been writing poetry, short stories and short stories since school. At the age of 15 she received her first literary prize. From 1942 to 1945 she attended the teacher training institute in Speyer and from 1945 to 1951 worked as a teacher in various places in the North Palatinate.

In 1951 she married the Protestant pastor Paul Klevinghaus and worked in the Sauerland from 1951 to 1957. From 1957 she lived and worked in Düsseldorf and since 1984 in Erkrath near Düsseldorf. In addition to working as a teacher at a secondary school and working for immigrant children and for Amnesty International , she wrote numerous poems and short stories that were published in anthologies and magazines, as well as some (children's) plays and stories.

Wilma Klevinghaus has five children.
