action

Dorith Magunsky is terrorized by unknown attackers after a trial for which she prepared an expert opinion in favor of the defendant Michael Hobelmeyer and who was subsequently acquitted of the charge of rape. She asks private detective Georg Wilsberg to find out who is behind the attacks. While he was talking to his client, Andrea Schröder, the main accuser in the trial, was murdered. The police do not rule out an act of revenge by Hobelmeyer, but cannot prove it. His business partner Claudine Carrier also confirms an alibi for the time of the crime.

Ekki happens to meet his old friend Tina Espenkotte, who from now on never lets her out of her sight and wants to build on bygone times. After Ekki has rejected her several times, she sprays paint on the entrance to his apartment. Since this color matches the spray campaigns against the appraiser, you can convict Tina as the stalker against Dorith Magunsky. She is a member of a women's rights group, which also includes the killed Andrea Schröder. This seems to be the end of the job for Wilsberg, but the next day his client is found stabbed to death and Tina Espenkotte is urgently suspect. Due to a blood test ordered by the police, a mix of different drugs was found, which explains her mood swings and outbursts of anger, which could also have driven her to murder. However, Wilsberg is certain that Tina was otherwise on the move at the time of the crime.

Alex, who represented Hobelmeyer in the trial, is beginning to have doubts about his innocence. In order to check him out, she sends Ekki “undercover” to Hobelmeyer's gym. She also receives help from Wilsberg, who finds out that his old college colleague Hobelmeyer raped a fellow student while he was still a student. When Wilsberg confronts him, he betrays himself and admits the rape of Andrea Schröder, whereupon he is arrested.

At the same time, the Bielefeld police investigated Hobelmeyer and accused him of trafficking in synthetic drugs. There is evidence of illegal substances being traded in his fitness studio, which, however, not he, but his employee Jörn Bakker, gives off to the exercisers as an alleged muscle building preparation along with a special fitness drink. Wilsberg Bakker finds out about a missing file that was stolen from the appraiser. Together with Alex he determines his address and under the address they find a greenhouse where plants are grown that are used to produce drugs. When Wilsberg confronts Bakker, he admits both murders. Andrea Schröder, who regularly trained in the gym, had started blackmailing him for drug trafficking. Dorith Magunsky came across Bakker in the course of her report against Hobelmeyer, and for fear that she might find out about the drug business, he killed her too.

criticism

Tilmann P. Gangloff from tittelbach.tv said approvingly: “'Belly, Legs, Po' is an exciting crime thriller from the 'Wilsberg' series, which occasionally has anti-women traits. In addition, the plot is reminiscent of the penultimate episode, 'No way back'. "

The TV Spielfilm editorial team gave the crime thriller a "thumbs up" and said with praise: "Exciting twists and turns and a very well-behaved ensemble make this case worth seeing." Conclusion: "Humorous crime fun for him and her."

The critics at Focus.de find that the film is “solid crime entertainment with brisk sayings - but without the socio-critical depth that the initial scenario around the question of law and justice would have made possible. The topic of how difficult it can sometimes be to convict rapists or, on the other hand, to expose false victims, is only touched upon. "
