Wim Lammen

Wim Lammen (* 1974 ) is a Dutch jazz musician ( saxophone , clarinet ).

Lammen grew up in Amsterdam and played the saxophone from the age of nine. He studied with Wim van Sante and Peter Guidi at the Amsterdam Music School and later at the city's Sweelinck Conservatory . Until 1998 he studied mathematics at the Universiteit van Amsterdam in order to then model traffic behavior. He is currently working at the Nationaal Lucht- en Ruimtevaartlaboratorium , where he looks after the training simulator and deals with aircraft design problems.

As a big band musician he played a. a. in the Jazzmania Big Band , the Amstel Big Band , the Fra Fra Big Band and in the Glenn Miller Revival Orchestra . He is a member of the Wereldband group and the gypsy jazz band Hot Club de Frank (with Frank Meester , Harold Berghuis and Jelle van Tongeren ), with whom he performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival , in the Netherlands, Italy, France and Germany, and seven albums recorded. He also worked as a guest musician with the Amsterdam Klezmer Band .
