The Wind Server is a construction vessel from the Danish company Ziton (formerly DBB Jack-Up Services), which is intended for the construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe .

history

The ship was commissioned by DBB Jack-Up Services in August 2012. Construction began in April 2013. The keel was laid on August 5, 2013 and the float on May 10, 2014. The ship was completed on December 17, 2014. On December 18, the ship was handed over to its owners and christened.

Technical specifications

The ship is powered by diesel-electric technology . For electricity generation are seven generator sets of manufacturer Caterpillar , each with 910  kW power and a backup generator from Caterpillar available. Propulsion is carried out by five propeller nacelles from Rolls-Royce , three in the stern - and two in the bow area of the ship. The propeller pods are driven by electric motors with an output of 1,100 kW each.

The four lifting legs, each 72 meters long, allow the ship to be raised in water depths of up to 45 meters.
