Winfried Glade

Winfried Glade SVD (born November 2, 1941 in Marburg an der Lahn ; † October 24, 2015 in the St. Gabriel Mission House ) was a German Catholic theologian .

Life

From 1953 he attended the St. Xaver Missionary School in Bad Driburg . After graduating from high school in 1961, he resigned because of the merger of the two St. Augustin / St. Gabriel joins the novitiate SVD in St. Gabriel in Mödling . He made the first vow in 1963 and the perpetual vow in 1967. In 1964 he moved to Sankt Augustin near Bonn to study theology at the Philosophical-Theological College . He was ordained a priest on September 23, 1967. In the course of 1968 he obtained his licentiate . In 1968 he obtained his diploma at the Liturgical Institute in Trier and completed additional studies at the Trier Theological Faculty , where he was awarded a Dr. theol. received his doctorate . The General Council of the SVD gave him on July 9, 1969 the teaching assignment for liturgical science in St. Gabriel. Until 1975 he made short stays in St. Gabriel every year, often with Heinrich Rennings , who gave block lectures in liturgical science. During this time he was assistant to Rennings at the Liturgical Institute in Trier and lived in the parish of Lampaden , which looked after Rennings. In December 1975 he moved to St. Gabriel. In 1976 he was appointed head of the liturgy for our services and for the affairs of the sacristy . On August 9, 1977 was officially appointed editor. Since 1977 he has been vice dean of the St. Gabriel Theological College. He was a member of the Liturgical Commission of the Archdiocese of Vienna (1984–1989), the Liturgical Commission for Austria (LKÖ), the Study Commission of the IAG for Mass Liturgy and Missal (organizer of the Salzburg group) (1988–2001), the Working Group of Catholic Liturgical Lecturers in the German-speaking area (spokesman for the Austrian section for several years ), the Societas Liturgica (International society for liturgical study and renewal) and the Abt-Herwegen Institute Maria Laach eV
