Winfried Pinger

Winfried Pinger (born May 15, 1932 in Lindlar ) is a German legal scholar and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

From 1952 Pinger studied law, economics and business administration at the University of Cologne . There he became a member of the Catholic student association KStV Rheinpfalz Cologne in KV . In 1955 he took his legal traineeship exams. In 1958 he was with a work on a constitutional issue at the Cologne University for Dr. jur. PhD . In 1960 he passed his assessor exam. From 1960 to 1974 and from 1980 he worked as a lawyer at the Cologne Regional Court. 1972 Pinger completed his habilitation ; from 1974 to 1984 he was a full professor for civil law and civil procedural law at Bielefeld University .

Winfried Pinger is a partner specializing in corporate succession law and inheritance law at the Cologne law firm CBH. He is also chairman of the Cologne Association for Inheritance Law and Company Succession. He is a member of the supervisory board of Deutsche Vermögensberatung AG in Frankfurt am Main. He is chairman of the board of trustees of the “Peter Hesse Foundation”, which supports self-help projects in Haiti. He is also active as chairman of the board of trustees of the WP Schmitz Foundation , Düsseldorf, a non-profit foundation for development aid and as a member of the board of trustees of the aid organization CARE Germany . He is also a scientific advisor to the Association of Catholic Entrepreneurs (BKU) , where he heads the “Entrepreneurial Development Cooperation” working group with a focus on microfinance .

Winfried Pinger is married and has six children.

Political party

Pinger has been a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) since 1957. Since 1974 he has been deputy state chairman of the Mittelstand- und Wirtschaftsvereinigung (MIT) of the CDU in North Rhine-Westphalia, since 1969 a member of the federal board of the SME and Business Association.

Winfried Pinger was a member of the German Bundestag from 1969 to 1972 and again from 1976 to 1998. He was elected via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia.

From 1982 to 1998 he was chairman of the economic cooperation working group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group and development policy spokesman for the CDU / CSU parliamentary group.

Winfried Pinger was a full member of the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development of the German Bundestag and a deputy member of the Finance Committee. He was also a member of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Deputy Member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union .
