Witali Markowitsch Malykin ( Russian Виталий Маркович Малыкин , at the World Chess Federation FIDE and the German Chess Federation : Vitaly Malykin ; born January 31, 1982 in Krywyj Rih , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian chess player with the rank of International Master .

Life

The Vitaly Malykins family belongs to the Russian ethnic group . From 1998 to 2000 he studied algorithmics and computer science at the Solomon University in Kiev . In 2000 he moved to Germany . From 2006 to 2012 he studied business informatics and B2B marketing at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences , which awarded him the title of Diplom-Kaufmann . His diploma thesis there was entitled Strategies of Search Engine Optimization in Different Organizations . Malykin works as the owner and managing director of a Cologne SEO and internet agency .

He has been playing chess since he was four. His first trainers were Heinrich Evgenjewitsch Rawitsch-Schtscherba and Leonid Konstantinowitsch Saplinow. Later he was instructed by professional trainers, from the international master Jakow Loifenfeld and from Alexei Kosikow - with Kosikow in a chess group with the later grandmasters Volodymyr Baklan , Spartak Wysotschyn and Alexey Kislinsky .

successes

At the 5th Children's Olympics in Belgrade - Zemun in 1997 , he took third place with the Ukrainian national team. With SG Porz he was also third at the German U20 team championship in 2002 in Greifswald . For SG Porz he otherwise plays in the 2nd Bundesliga West , the Oberliga and the NRW class. Since the 2008/09 season he has also played in Belgian leagues. His club there is Cercle Royal de Echecs de Bruxelles .

He has held the title of International Master since 2000 . He achieved the norms for this at tournaments in Kiev , Odessa , Pavlohrad and Pardubice .
