Vyacheslav "Slava" Nikolajewitsch Gorpischin ( Russian Вячеслав Николаевич Горпишин ; born January 20, 1970 in Chișinău ) is a former Russian handball player . Since the end of his career he has been working as a handball trainer. His body length is 2.00 m. Gorpischin is married to Olga and has two children.

Gorpischin, who last played for the third division team HF Springe and previously played for the Russian men's national handball team, was mostly used in the left backcourt ; he received most of the service times in defense.

Vyacheslav Gorpishin began playing handball in his hometown. He quickly caught the eye of talent scouts and came to the youth boarding school of CSKA Moscow , where he also made his debut in the first Russian league and won the Russian championship in 1994 and 1995. In 1995 Gorpischin was looking for a new challenge and moved to HG Erlangen in the German 2nd handball league . He stayed there for five years before moving to SG Leutershausen in 2000. When financial problems arose at this club in 2003, Gorpischin hired at TSG Friesenheim at short notice . After only one season, however, Gorpischin said goodbye to the Palatinate and went to Eintracht Hildesheim . With the Domstadt team, he was promoted to the first Bundesliga in 2006, but also relegated again in 2006. His contract with Hildesheim expired in 2008. Gorpischin wanted to concentrate more on his job. From 2008 Gorpischin played for the HF Springe club , with whom he celebrated promotion to the Regionalliga Nord in the 2008/09 season and won the HVN Cup in 2010. After Gorpischin rose to the 2nd Bundesliga with jumping in the 2014/15 season, he ended his active career. Thereupon he took over the coaching of the 2nd team of the HF jumping and became assistant coach of the 1st team.

Vyacheslav Gorpischin has played 270 international matches for the Russian men's national handball team. With this, he was in 1992 in Barcelona and 2000 in Sydney Olympic champion . In the 1999 World Men's Handball Championship , he won silver at the 2004 Olympics again bronze . After the latter, Gorpischin ended his national team career.
