Vladimir Alexandrowitsch Timoshinin ( Russian Владимир Александрович Тимошинин ; born July 12, 1970 in Moscow ) is a former Russian diver . He jumped in the 10 m tower and synchronized jumping and started for the CSKA Moscow . He won several medals at world and European championships, including two European championships, and took part in two Olympic Games .

Timoshinin's first international competition in the adult field was the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul , then still for the Soviet Union . He was ranked eighth from the 10 m tower. A year later he won his first medal at the European Championships in Bonn with bronze from the tower. Timoshinin won his first title at the European Championships in Athens in 1991 from the 10-meter tower, and in 1995 he was able to repeat this success in Vienna . In 1994 he achieved his only world championship medal with bronze at the World Cup in Rome . Timoshinin took part in the Olympic Games for Russia for the second time in Atlanta in 1996 , and finished eighth in the tower final. His last medal was in the 10 m synchronized jumping. At the European Championships in Istanbul in 1999 , he won silver with Igor Lukashin . The following year Timoshinin ended his active career after missing team-internal qualification for the Olympic Games.

Timoschinin is married to Swetlana Timoschinina , also a successful water diver and multiple European champion.
