Vladimir Trandafilov
Vladimir Trandafilow ( Bulgarian Владимир Трандафилов ; born September 4, 1897 in Pleven , † January 13, 1972 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian actor and director.
Life
He studied acting in Paris and then worked at the National Theater in Sofia . Important roles were King Lear ( William Shakespeare ), Philipp in Don Carlos by Friedrich Schiller , Egmont ( Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ), Arbenin in Masquerade by Michail Jurjewitsch Lermontow and Paratow in Girls Without a Dowry by Alexander Nikolajewitsch Ostrowski .
He was honored as a Hero of Socialist Labor and the Dimitrov Prize .
