Vladimir Turiansky

Wladimir Turiansky (* 1927 in Montevideo ; † December 3, 2015 ) was a Uruguayan politician , union leader and author.

Life

Turiansky's parents were of Russian descent. He worked from 1951 to 1988 for the power company UTE, where he worked as a union leader. He was also a founding member and vice-president of the Convención Nacional de Trabajadores . He sat in the 41th legislative period from 15 February 1972 to 27 June 1973 for a Partido Demócrata Cristiano ( Frente Amplio ), representing the Department of Montevideo in the Cámara de Representantes until the result of the coup of 27 June 1973 was dissolved .
