Vladimir Viktorovich Adoratsky
Wladimir Wiktorowitsch Adoratski (English also Vladimir Viktorovich Adoratsky , Russian Владимир Викторович Адоратский ; born August 19, 1878 in Kazan , † June 5, 1945 in Moscow ), was a Soviet historian and philosopher .
Adoratski studied in Kazan from 1897 to 1903. After the failed revolution in 1905, he was arrested and expelled. He met Lenin in Geneva in 1908 , in Paris in 1911 and in Berlin in 1912 . After the October Revolution he worked in the People's Commissariat for Popular Education. In 1931 he became director of the Institute of Philosophy at the Communist Academy and director of the Marx-Engels Institute , in 1932 a member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR . From 1938 he devoted himself mainly to the publication of the works of Marx, Engels and Lenin.
