Listjew brought many television formats to Russia from abroad and made Russian versions of them, some of which he moderated himself. These include Tema (The Topic), the first weekly talk show (now canceled) that talked about society, culture and other things; Pole Tschudes (The wonder field, named after a place from the fairy tale of Burattino ), the Russian version of the wheel of fortune , which has been moderated by Leonid Jakubowitsch with great success since 1992 and to this day (Listjew has moderated the program since 1990); Tschas Pik (rush hour), the daily panel discussion in which the guest (mostly prominent) talks about his life and goals (now canceled); Ugadai melodiju (Guess the Melody), music quiz with Valdis Pelsh, the Russian version of “Name that tune”, which is based on the German version “ Hast Du Töne? “ Remembered with Matthias Opdenhövel and many more (now discontinued).

“Since the murder of the television presenter Wlad Listjew, who is more than popular in Russia, and of the politician Galina Starowoitova , we have known that quick results are not to be expected. The monthly newspaper Soverschenno sekretno (Completely Secret) quotes figures from the Information Center of the Ministry of the Interior: By the end of November 2000, 28,727 cases of murder and manslaughter had been recorded in Russia, and 126 of the contract killings contained therein had been solved. "

Although two suspects were arrested in 1998, neither the perpetrators nor their clients have been identified in the Listjew case.
