Wladislaw Valerjewitsch Kalarasch ( Russian Владислав Валерьевич Калараш , born March 29, 1968 in Moscow ) is a former Russian handball player and current handball coach.

Career

The 1.93 m tall middle back player played for CSKA Moscow in his home country . In 1992 he moved to the Spanish league ASOBAL to Bidasoa Irún , with whom he won the Copa ASOBAL in 1993 . After a year he moved on to JD Arrate , from where he moved to Sporting Lisbon after another season in the Portuguese Andebol 1 . In 1995 he first returned to Moscow. He then signed with BM Granollers . After a year in Catalonia, he was signed by the German second division club TuS Schutterwald , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1998 . After he was able to avoid relegation against SG Hameln in 1999 , he moved to the second division club Eintracht Hildesheim , with whom he was able to rise again in 2000. After the immediate relegation, he stayed in the 2nd Bundesliga for a year before he returned to Russia to Energia Voronezh. With this team he reached the quarter-finals of the 2002/03 European Cup Winners' Cup .

With the Soviet junior national team, Wladislaw Kalarasch was junior world champion in 1989. Kalarasch played 15 international matches for the Soviet men's national handball team and two more for the Russian national team .

Wladislaw Kalarasch is a member of the coaching staff at HK Motor Zaporozhye , where his son Gleb Kalarasch also played from 2015 to 2017.
