Vladislav Valerjewitsch Otmachow ( Russian Владислав Валерьевич Отмахов ; born May 29, 1974 in Sverdlovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player who played for the Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg hockey league in the continental league from 1992 to 2011 . He has been working as an ice hockey coach since the end of his career .
Career
Vladislav Otmachow began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the junior division of Junost Yekaterinburg. From there he moved to the city neighbor Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg , for whose professional team he was active in the International Hockey League from 1992 to 1995 . For the 1995/96 season , the defender moved to his league rivals ZSK WWS Samara . He then returned to Yekaterinburg. With his club, which in the meantime had changed its name to Spartak and then Dinamo-Energija, he played from then on in the IHL successor Superliga , but had to accept relegation to the second division with his team in the 1997/98 season .
In the 1998/99 season Otmachow succeeded with Dinamo-Energija Yekaterinburg direct resurgence in the super league. From 2000 to 2006 he was under contract with Molot-Prikamje Perm , where he came to twelve missions for the second division Sputnik Nizhny Tagil in the 2002/03 season . With Perm he played mostly in the super league, only in the 2003/04 season he joined the club in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga. As a second division champion, however, with Molot-Prikamje he succeeded in direct resurgence as a second division champion. After relegation in the 2005/06 season , he joined the second division Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod . With Torpedo he rose straight away in the 2006/07 season as champion of the Wysschaya League in the Super League.
For the 2008/09 season Otmachow returned to his hometown, where he received a contract with the second division Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg , the unofficial successor club of Dinamo-Energija Yekaterinburg. After his admission to the Continental Hockey League founded a year earlier , Otmachow was on the ice in the KHL between 2009 and 2011 before ending his career.
He then took over the position of head coach at Burewestnik Yekaterinburg from the Pervaya League and looked after this team until the end of the 2011/12 season. He was then hired by Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg as an assistant coach. In 2013 he was again in charge of Burewestnik Yekaterinburg.
