history

The name Woblitz for the living space did not come into use until after 1800. Before that, the locality was called Lychenscher Winkel. The name Woblitz is a water body name that has been carried over to the living space. Today the runoff from the Großer Lychensee to the Haussee is called Woblitz; it is a tributary of the Havel. This drain used to be called Lychen. It was not until 1566 that it was said: "If the beke was to break out of the great lichen, it was given another name and was called the Wobelitz." The name Woblitz is derived from a basic form * Voblica = small Havel and thus indicates the tributary of the Havel (Slavic * Vobla). Woblitz / Wublitz occurs more often near Havel. The name of the Havel is of pre-Slavic origin.

As early as 1580, the rulers of Badingen and Himmelpfort managed a "width" in the so-called Lychenschen Winkel, a peninsula that protrudes into the Großer Lychensee . In 1736, border disputes between the town of Lychen and the Badingen office over the "Lychen Winckel" are documented. In 1771, the half-farmer Utpott from Retzow submitted a request to set up a tar oven in Lychen's corner. In 1773 the contract is signed with Utpott for the construction and lease of a tar furnace as well as 6 acres of meadow and 2 acres of land for gardening and arable farming. In 1784 the Lychensche tar furnace was measured: the measurement revealed 16 acres of land on the Woblitz . In 1808 the owner of the "Woblitzer Teerofen" Utpott took over the supervision of the Linowsche Heide until the appointment of a new forester . In 1808 a new sub-forestry was established near the tar furnace . In 1810 the Teerschweler Utpott applied for compensation because the establishment of the sub-forestry deprived him of land. After that there is no longer any talk of a tar stove. In 1817 the residential area had eleven residents. In the Urmes table sheet (sheet Bredereiche 2845) the living space is recorded as Unterforsterei Woblitz. In 1840 the forester's house Woblitz belonged to the head forester in Zehdenick. For 1858 twelve residents are recorded. Before 1860, the protection district and Forsthaus Woblitz was the Forstrevier been placed under Himmelpfort. The living space consisted of a public building and three farm buildings. The living space remained the forester's house . In 1925 there were six residents. In 1980 the Woblitz forestry department belonged to the Gransee state forestry company.

Since 1990 a nature conservation station has been housed in the former forester's house, which takes care of injured birds of prey.
