controversy

Wierzejski is known for his right-wing extremist views. In 2004 he refused to shake hands with the organizers of the Parada Równości ( Equality Parade ) "for hygienic reasons" . In the same year he published a “list of gays and lesbians” including their private addresses on his website, which is why he is currently threatened with a lawsuit for violating the protection of personal data after leaving parliament and the associated loss of immunity. In the course of the "Parada Normalności" (normality parade, which, in contrast to the equality parade , was approved by the then Warsaw Mayor and later President of Poland Lech Kaczyński and which was carried out by the Catholic-nationalist Młodzież Wszechpolska ( All-Polish Youth )) he stated, among other things:

"Individuals identified as active homosexuals should be exposed to traditional public intolerance so that they cannot later walk around consciously, visibly, publicly and courageously, showing their faces and boasting of their abnormality."

In 2006 he caused a sensation before the gay and lesbian Parada Równości in Warsaw by commenting on the announcement of German politicians to appear at the parade: “These are not important politicians, they are only gays. Once they get a taste of the stick, they won't come back. By definition, gay men are cowardly. ”He then received a criminal complaint from the federal chairwoman of the Greens Claudia Roth .

Wojciech Wierzejski believes that he is a Catholic traditionalist . He stressed the need to conduct the liturgy in Latin and that the priest should conduct Mass with his face toward the altar rather than toward the faithful.

He is counted among the "fascist" members of the LPR . In his youth he was a neo-fascist skinhead. The magazine “Fakt” published photos of him in which he raised his hand in the Hitler salute. Inglorious quotes and actions from him are known, which he displayed in the context of activities in his party and among the All-Polish Youth.
