Controversial statements

Orzechowski believes Charles Darwin's theory of origin is wrong, which is why he called for creationism to be taught in schools. Thereupon 1135 Polish scientists demanded his removal as deputy minister. Orzechowski also made hostile expressions towards homosexuals . In 2007 he called for a law that would forbid the “propagation of homosexuality” in schools and, among other things, lead to the dismissal of teachers who come out as gay or lesbian. As a countermovement, the Internet service www.nauczyciel-gej.pl.tp was founded , with which www.schwulelehrer.de shows solidarity.

On June 9th, 2008 Orzechowski announced in his weblog that he had written a letter to the Polish President Lech Kaczynski , so that this Pole, who, for example, was B. play in German soccer teams, revoke Polish citizenship.
