Woldemar von Reichenbach ; also Woldemar Graf von Reichenbach Goschütz , (* 7. March 1845 in Walt village, district Neisse , province of Silesia (since 1945 Pol. Prusinowice , Opole ); † 11. October 1914 in Wachwitz in Dresden ) was a German painter.

Life

His parents were Eduard von Reichenbach (1812–1869) and Bertha von Pfeil and Klein-Ellguth (1810–1891). Since his father was paralyzed, Woldemar nursed him until his death.

Woldemar von Reichenbach studied painting with Karl Gussow and Albert Brendel at the Grand Ducal Saxon Art School in Weimar . After graduating, he settled in Wachwitz near Dresden in 1885. From 1890 to 1894 he lived in Munich and then again in Wachwitz. In May 1911 he was awarded the title of royal Saxon professor.

Woldemar von Reichenbach left behind very few works, including The Artist's Studio in Wachwitz and Zimmer in Moritzburg Castle in Saxony (in Dresden collections) and Bacchanalia (1893).
