Wolf-Dieter Ringguth (born July 17, 1958 in Gnoien ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2002 to 2016 he was a member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Life

Ringguth attended the Polytechnic High School and then completed vocational training as a maintenance mechanic. From 1977 to 1979 he did basic military service and then studied mechanical engineering in Schwerin . From 1981 to 1990 he worked as an engineer in the Rechlin shipyard . In Rechlin he was elected mayor in 1990, which he stayed for four years. He then worked until 2002 as the chief administrative officer of the Rechlin office . Ringguth is Protestant, married and has two children.

Ringguth remained independent until 1990 and joined the SPD after reunification . After his work as mayor, he became a member of the district council of the Müritz district in 1994 , where he was chairman of the economic committee. In 1996, he left the SPD district parliamentary group and in 1997 finally left the SPD. From 1996 to 1998 he was chairman of the independent parliamentary group in the district council, then he joined the CDU district parliamentary group, for which he was deputy chairman of the economic committee. In December 2000 he joined the CDU and since 2001 Ringguth has been chairman of the CDU district parliamentary group. In 2004 he was again mayor of the municipality of Rechlin. In the state elections in 2002 he was elected to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . Since October 2006 he has been a member of the board of the CDU parliamentary group and since November 2006 deputy chairman of the interior committee. Ringguth is also the spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group for domestic affairs. In the state elections in 2006, Ringguth moved into the state parliament via a direct mandate in constituency 20 - Müritz I, in 2011 only with a second vote. In February 2009 he became Parliamentary Managing Director of the CDU parliamentary group. After he lost his direct mandate in the state elections in 2011 and entered parliament via the state list, he had to hand over the position of managing director to Vincent Kokert on September 8th . After his election as the new parliamentary group leader, Ringguth was again Parliamentary Managing Director. Since January 21, 2010, Wolf-Dieter Ringguth has been 2nd Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Müritz-Sparkasse .
