Wolf-Rüdiger Weisbach

Wolf-Rüdiger Weisbach (* 1941 in Sackisch , Glatz district , Lower Silesia province ) is a German general practitioner and sports doctor and was a country doctor in Windeck - Herchen . In November 2011 he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his professional and voluntary commitment .

Life

Wolf-Rüdiger Weisbach came to Herchen with his family as a displaced person in 1946. He studied medicine and received his doctorate in 1968 under Hans Rohr at the University of Bonn . After his license to practice medicine in 1969, Weisbach received surgical training at the Siegburg Hospital and worked in internal medicine in the Siegburg and Troisdorf hospitals. He formed u. a. in psychosomatic medicine with Professor Luban Plozza in Locarno . In 1976 he obtained a sports doctor's diploma. In 1972 he took over the family doctor practice that his father Max Weisbach had founded in 1946.

Weisbach has been a lecturer at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn since 2003 , was involved in the design of the seminar concept and the development of general medicine from 2004 to 2009 , and from 2001 to 2012 chairman of the medical association of the Rhein-Sieg district .

Weisbach published medical specialist books as well as numerous specialist articles in specialist journals and public media.

Volunteering

In 1980 Weisbach founded the senior sports department in TuS Herchen and in 1986 the Koronare Sportgruppe Windeck-Eitorf, as well as the tennis department in TUS Herchen. For twelve years he was available there as a sports doctor and occasionally held practice evenings. Weisbach has been a board member of the Herchen Citizens' Association since 1980. In the "Haus des Gastes" he set up a village archive and organized exhibitions. In 1994, with the support of his patient Hanns Dieter Hüsch, he co-founded the “Windecker Matinee” association, of which he is now honorary chairman.

Weisbach has published several books about his homeland as well as articles in the yearbooks of the Rhein-Sieg district .
