Wolf Dietrich (* 1919 ; † 1981 ) was a German journalist .

Life

Dietrich worked at RIAS in West Berlin from 1947 to 1962 . In 1951 he was also the office manager of the Süddeutscher Rundfunk in Bonn. From 1961 to 1962 he was chairman of the Federal Press Conference in Bonn. In 1962 he went to the Second German Television (ZDF) as editor-in-chief . In September 1969, Dietrich criticized the influence of political parties on the television station in the context of a dispute over the ZDF magazine headed by Gerhard Löwenthal . From 1972 he was the special commissioner of the ZDF director Karl Holzamer .

Like Karl Holzamer, Wolf Dietrich was close to the CDU .
