Wolf von Gersdorff

Wolf Heinrich von Gersdorff (born August 9, 1867 in Potsdam , † May 25, 1949 in Berlin-Zehlendorf ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician.

After passing the state examination and subsequent legal traineeship, von Gersdorff was district administrator in Arnswalde from 1895–1905 , since 1905 lecturer in the Prussian Ministry of the Interior, and then district president of Merseburg (1910–1922), royal chamberlain, honorary citizen of Wittenberg and chairman of the board of trustees of the Luther Society in Wittenberg. From 1925 to 1931 Gersdorff also served as President of the Provincial Synod in the ecclesiastical province of Brandenburg of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union . He was also chairman of the board of trustees of the Lutherhalle (1910–1945) and an honorary doctorate from the University of Halle Wittenberg . From 1924 to 1933 he represented the DNVP in the Prussian state parliament.
