Wolff Eberhard von Ehrenberg
Wolf (f) Eberhard von Ehrenberg († July 16, 1597 ) was a scion of the von Ehrenberg family . He was Electoral Mainz bailiff in Miltenberg .
Life
Wolff Eberhard von Ehrenberg was the youngest son of Dietrich II von Ehrenberg (1532–1585), who had also been chief bailiff in Miltenberg . His eldest brother Johann Dietrich († 1612) became canon in Mainz , the second oldest brother Wolf Albrecht von Ehrenberg (1572–1604) became senior bailiff in Miltenberg, margravial councilor of Baden and senior bailiff in the Rastatt district , the third brother Ernst Dietrich died early.
Wolff Eberhard was married to Agnes Elisabeth Knebel von Katzenelnbogen since 1568 . The marriage remained childless. From 1588 to 1601 he was senior bailiff in Miltenberg, his successor was Balthasar von Dalberg . Wolff Eberhard owned the former upper office building in the Schwarzviertel as a town house.
His coat of arms is located in the meeting room of the town hall of Bürgstadt , as he was also responsible for Bürgstadt as the official of the Archbishopric Mainz . The inscription reads: "WOLFF EBERHARDTT VON EHRENBERCK, AMTMANN ZU MILTENBERGCK, ANNO 1593".
