Balthasar II von Dalberg († December 17, 1607 , buried in Steinheim ) was a member of the von Dalberg family . He was a Kurmainz official.

family

Balthasar II von Dalberg married Anna Margareta on October 4, 1599, daughter of Hartmann XIV von Kronberg and Margareta, née Brendel von Homburg . Hartmann XIV. Von Kronberg was electoral Mainz councilor and bailiff in Rieneck , Hofheim and Höchst . Anna Margareta remarried in February 1614 after the death of Balthasar II. Her second husband was Johann Karl Graf von Schönburg -Malatour-Saulcy, who died in Madrid in 1640 . She died on June 20, 1616 or June 28, 1616 and was also buried in Steinheim. Here her sister, Anna (* after 1565, † 1619), was married to Jost Philipp von Bicken (* 1567), who was also a councilor and chief magistrate in Steinheim .

A daughter from his marriage to Balthasar II married Jodokus von Bicken , who later became the bailiff of the Steinheim office.

Career

Balthasar II von Dalberg is documented from 1579. He was councilor of the Electorate of Mainz and from 1602 to 1605 as the successor to Wolff Eberhard von Ehrenberg Oberamtmann in Miltenberg

Worth knowing

His coat of arms is located in the conference room of the town hall of Bürgstadt . As an official of the Archbishopric Mainz , he was also responsible for Bürgstadt. The inscription reads: "BALTHASAR KÄMMERER FROM WOMBS NAMED BY DALBERG CHURF-MEINTZ AMBTMANN Z. MILT."
