Wolfgang Alber (journalist)

Wolfgang Alber (* 1948 in Heilbronn ) is a German journalist and cultural scientist who lives in Reutlingen .

Life

Wolfgang Alber studied sociology , empirical cultural studies and law at the University of Tübingen with an MA ; In 2017 he received his doctorate as Dr. rer. soc. In Tübingen he worked as an editor for the Schwäbisches Tagblatt from 1984 to 2009 . He published articles on cultural history and regional studies as an author and editor, as well as popular accounts of the southwest German cultural landscape. In 2008 he edited the book "Albgeschichten" with Brigitte and Hermann Bausinger . Alber also wrote texts for Sepp Buchegger's Tübingen detective comics.

Alber participates in the Zeitenspiegel reportage school in Reutlingen. He is chairman of the Tübingen Association for Folklore and a member of the editorial committee of the “Schwäbische Heimat” magazine of the Schwäbische Heimatbund .
